About the Community Activity Council
For over 15 years, a group of committed senior citizens from Orchard Park, led by Jackie Briggs, have been devoted to the cause of raising funds for a new senior activity center. They have sacrificed much time and effort in pursuit of a suitable facility that would accommodate the needs of all seniors under one roof.
Their fundraising activities included hosting spaghetti dinners, pancake breakfasts, selling raffle tickets, and working the concession stands at Buffalo Bills games. Not only did these efforts provide the funding to keep a new center in the public spotlight, but they also built awareness and convinced many that a multi-generational facility would enhance the quality of life for all residents.
Building off the dedicated work of this group, in 2017 the Community Activity Council of Orchard Park, Inc., was formed by a cross-section of groups representing every generation in the community. This nonprofit organization’s goal is to raise funds to complete the construction of the new activities center, as well as the necessary equipment and furniture for recreational and athletic activities for our youth, seniors, and everyone in between.
The Community Activity Council of Orchard Park, Inc.is a not-for-profit corporation as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
